Force Trash to Empty

with 3 comments

First, you need to find the right location of your trash directory. To do that type this command:

$ locate Trash

and the result is:

/home/user/.local/share/Trash
/home/user/.local/share/Trash/files
/home/user/.local/share/Trash/info

Ok that’s it, you found the trash directory. To force trash to empty use the sudo command.

$ cd ~/.local/share/Trash
$ sudo rm -rf *
